Smyrff - you rock! Such an awesome mountain guide. We hired Smyrff for our first time scrambling Crib Goch to Yr Wyddfa. Safe movement was always top priority along the exposed ridge, but Smyrff does this in the spirit of bringing great humour to put you at ease achieving a mountain challenge. His brilliant guidance on hand and foot holds made misty conditions creeping over the ridge feel non-intimidating, especially when moving on any wet rock. The sun did eventually break through (and a rainbow!) for stunning views of the Eryri skylines - but the huge value in learning and gaining confidence to move in tricky conditions I believe is such a fantastic takeaway from this epic experience! Thanks so much! Glowingly recommend that anyone thinking to have a go at Crib Goch asks Smyrff to guide them.

Can’t recommend Smyrff and Hike and bike Snowdonia high enough, from the initial enquiry to the walk itself the whole process was excellent Smyrff is an excellent guide with great knowledge of the terrain and the surrounding environment, I learned quite a few things on the walk and even a bit of Welsh too. Highly recommended trip to Toubkal, Morocco. Planned and executed amazingly. Smyrff (mountain leader) was amazing leading the group on the mountains and all throughout the trip. Recently hiked the Atlas Mountains & Mount Toubkal in Morrocco! He is an EXCEPTIONAL mountain leader! Helped me at a point I felt very vulnerable on the mountain (as an unexperienced mountaineer & someone who is afraid on big edges / drops ). He held my hand and made me feel SO safe! Throughout the adventure I never felt scared once! He made me feel so safe & confident out on the mountains! He is truly one in a million! I will never forget this journey. Once in a lifetime experience! So glad that I chose to hike the largest mountain in North Africa with Smyrff! Smyrff ti’n Halen y ddaer. Diolch i chdi am yr wsos gora efyr! Ti’n amazing!!! Massive thanks to Smyrff and his brilliant team at Hike Bike Snowdonia for leading our charity Snowdon Sunset Walk! From start to finish, they were fantastic — super knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. Smyrff’s love for the outdoors really came through, and his banter kept us all motivated, even on the steeper bits. The sunset at the top was absolutely breath taking, and we couldn’t have asked for better guides to get us there. Thanks again, guys — you made it a night to remember! Highly recommend!

Diwrnod gwbl wych a’r cyfan wedi’i drefnu mor ofalus o drylwyr. Roedd gan yr hyfforddwyr wybodaeth anhygoel am y llwybrau a’r ardal ac roedd eu gofal amdanom fel grwp ac unigolion yn glodwiw. Pobl gwbl hyfryd ac mor brofiadol a hynny’n golygu ein bod yn teimlo’n gwbl ddiogel yn eu gofal. I can’t overstate how amazing our walk with Smyrff was. My two teens and I had an absolutely incredible day. It didn’t matter that much of our walk was through clouds of mist… Smyrff kept us informed about flora, fauna, geography, terrain, and Welsh legends, pacing our walk so that he’d pause to tell us stories when he knew I was short of breath…making it seem like a story was required for that moment so that I never felt silly for needing a break. He is a wealth of knowledge, and very kind and safe with the whole trek. He even took photos throughout on his much better phone, sending them to me at the end of the hike. Smyrff is the best!!

A group of friends completed a sunrise walk on Yr Wyddfa / Snowdon up the Llanberis path and down the Watkin path for the MND charity. Bu i grŵp o ffrindiau gwblhau taith i gopa’r Wyddfa i weld y gwario fyny y llwybr Llanberis ag i lawr llwybr y Watkin i’r elusen MND.

Hike and Bike Snowdonia supported several staff and young people from Birmingham Children's Trust to conquer the challenge of climbing Snowdon.

The entire experience was very organised, professional, and extremely positive. The support that was received throughout the hike both up and down the mountain was exceptional with many of the young people complimenting the professionalism and abilities of the two mountain leaders that accompanied us.

Both mountain leaders went above and beyond to help and support through positive words of encouragement, and acts of kindness such as offering to hold the bags of young people and staff who were struggling during certain points.

Our experience was an overall success that provided both staff and young people with a huge sense of achievement and provided many of the young people with their first ever opportunity of exploring a world outside of their usual city life.

As a Service we would 100% recommend Hike & Bike Snowdonia and we will definitely be utilising this company again for future planned hiking trips.

At 2wish Cymru, we recently had the pleasure of planning a sunrise walk up Snowdon with Smyrff from Hike and Bike Snowdonia, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. Our small group of six felt incredibly supported as Smyrff carefully considered everyone's capabilities, ensuring a steady and enjoyable pace for all.

Smyrff's kindness and consideration for various fitness levels, coupled with his extensive knowledge of Snowdon, made the walk not only comfortable but also fascinating. His insights added a special touch, making the journey even more memorable.

Everyone felt at ease and had an amazing experience. We cannot thank Smyrff enough for his assistance with our event and his contribution to raising vital awareness and funds for 2wish Cymru. We wholeheartedly recommend Hike and Bike Snowdonia and are already looking forward to booking our Snowdon Sunrise Walk with Smyrff again next year.

So worth it! Myself and my family could enjoy every step, take time to look around, conserve energy and just take step by step whilst Smyrf sorted the route, winds, weather, time and pace…. Smyrf was so encouraging, calming, and educational… we learn so much every time we go up the mountains with him. Wouldn’t do such challenges any other way. Even borrowed a walking stick, I swear he has everything in his backpack :) Communication before and after excellent… 1st class service, although I now consider him as family after all his support. Loved every single minute
