Taith Dywys Crib Goch

Crib Goch yw'r llwybr anoddaf i gopa'r Wyddfa. Mae'n ffordd gyffrous a heriol i gyrraedd copa uchaf Cymru. Mae'r llwybr yn cychwyn ym Mhen y Pass ac mae taith Crib Goch o'r Dwyrain i'r Gorllewin yn arwain i fyny o lwybr PYG.

Mae angen bod yn un am uchder ar gyfer y sgrambl Gradd 1 hwn ac argymhellir rhywfaint o brofiad sgramblo blaenorol. Mae'r Crib Goch yn agored ac yn heriol iawn gan fod angen dringo i fyny ac i lawr y cribau creigiog. Gellir ymestyn llwybr Crib Goch i'r Wyddfa i gynnwys Y Lliwedd a gelwir y diwrnod llawn hwn yn Bedol yr Wyddfa.

Taith Dywys Crib Goch Recent Reviews

A superb experience! As a first-timer on the Crib Goch scramble to Yr Wyddfa I decided going with a guide was my best bet. I could not have chosen better! Smyrff was excellent; combining relaxed, easy conversation with local history, technical advice and humour, always with an encouraging air and an ever-present but subtle emphasis on safety. It really was a terrific day out with plenty of advice on foot holds, hand grips, balance and standing upright and being relaxed and enjoying the experience. You really could not ask for more; it was like a day out with a friend. I sincerely, highly recommend Smyrff, whether you want a more technical scramble, like Crib Goch or a guided walk around Snowdonia’s many, less populated peaks. I shall be back for more!

Having met Smyrff on another training weekend I reached out for help with my first walk across Crib Goch, Garnedd Ugain and Yr Wyddfa. Couldn't have wished for a better guide, helpful, patient encouraging and fantastic local knowledge made the day unforgettable, and to top it all he even arranged the sun to be out all day :-) If you are looking for a guide I can not recommend Smyrff highly enough, and hopefully look forward to another hike with him in the future. Diolch yn fawr.

Smyrff - you rock! Such an awesome mountain guide. We hired Smyrff for our first time scrambling Crib Goch to Yr Wyddfa. Safe movement was always top priority along the exposed ridge, but Smyrff does this in the spirit of bringing great humour to put you at ease achieving a mountain challenge. His brilliant guidance on hand and foot holds made misty conditions creeping over the ridge feel non-intimidating, especially when moving on any wet rock. The sun did eventually break through (and a rainbow!) for stunning views of the Eryri skylines - but the huge value in learning and gaining confidence to move in tricky conditions I believe is such a fantastic takeaway from this epic experience! Thanks so much! Glowingly recommend that anyone thinking to have a go at Crib Goch asks Smyrff to guide them.

So worth it! Myself and my family could enjoy every step, take time to look around, conserve energy and just take step by step whilst Smyrf sorted the route, winds, weather, time and pace…. Smyrf was so encouraging, calming, and educational… we learn so much every time we go up the mountains with him. Wouldn’t do such challenges any other way. Even borrowed a walking stick, I swear he has everything in his backpack :) Communication before and after excellent… 1st class service, although I now consider him as family after all his support. Loved every single minute

Wanted to thank Paul so very much for the being the most totally awesome, patient, encouraging, amazing guide ever!!! He really was the best! I was turning 60 and have some health problems but nothing was too much for this man. His calm, easy, friendly manner made this a day to treasure for ever - can't thank him enough. Already planning the next one!!!
