Merfyn Jones better known as 'Smyrff' is an experienced Summer and Winter Mountain Leader and is passionate about sharing outdoor experiences in and around Eryri / Snowdonia and beyond whether it's on foot or by mountain bike. He has great knowledge of the outdoors and is enthusiastic about local history, nature and geology and can offer a bilingual service. Merfyn was a long-term member of South Snowdonia MRT (Mountain Rescue Team) and also holds an AALA licence.

Mount Ararat summit at 5,137m in Eastern Turkey. πŸ”οΈπŸ‡ΉπŸ‡· Amazing experience to be working on a recce for Tribal Tracks, they plan to run trips there next summer. I was part of an excellent and funny open group of 20 who were from all over the world.
Day 2 on Mount Ararat was an acclimatisation day from 3,200m up to 4,000m and back down to camp 1. Tomorrow we head to camp 2 at 4,200m and in the early morning on Thursday go for the summit at 5,13/m. I’m here working for Tribal Tracks on a recce for future trips, I’m in an open group of 20 and in the second pic is Jorge Escobar from Guatemala
