Cadair Idris is a spectacular mountain, it is among the best in Wales and is also part of the Welsh 3 Peaks. It lies at the southern end of the Snowdonia National Park near the town of Dolgellau.
It has breathtaking views of the Welsh landscape and coastline stretching as far as the eye can see.
It has a choice of paths with the most popular being the Pony Path or Minffordd Path.
The Minffordd path is a horseshoe walk which takes in 3 mountain in the Cadair Idris range including Pen y Gadair which is the main summit.
Maesglase and Waun-oer / Tarren y Gesail and Tarrenhendre
These are mountains that are in the Cadair Idris range which are much more quiet, they still offer amazing views of the surrounding mountains and are perfect as Navigation days also.
